One thing I haven’t missed about living outside of Utah – Spiritual resume’s and the spiritual upper crust. No one ever SAYS “so and so is part of the spiritually aristocracy”. It is more in the WAY introductions are made, and the expected reactions that are based on one’s once and future callings. It has a quality that is like the social aristocracy in “Pride and prejudice”. I experienced a great sigh of relief when we moved back to Utah, and most particularly in our Lehi ward because so much pretension was dropped, and relationships were once again relaxed and familiar.
