Until we cast out sin in earnest we will be plagued with wolves destroying our flocks

Until we begin to cast out sin in earnest, we will be plagued with wolves among our flock devouring those who would have remained faithful had we been rightly dutiful.

The good shepherd gives his life for his sheep. But we will not give our good reputation for them. If someone might point a finger at us and accuse us of being unchristian or uncharitable we will not peril ourselves, we will not fight to destroy a wolf out of our midst, saving the vulnerable flock, if there is some risk that we may endure the shame of name calling and mockery for our efforts.

Let us do according to the scriptures. If a man is unrepentant, let him be cast out.

We should believe the scriptures which say we are blessed when men speak all manner of evil against us for Christ’s sake.
