Very short note – children are their oppressors

When Isaiah says “children are their oppressors, and women rule over them” it may well be that he refers primarily to the individual homes rather than to the entire populace. Sure, we may see women rule over us as a nation. But in our individual homes, certainly, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. It may be the image of children that are spoiled when young and rebellious as teenagers who oppress their parents, and of homes in which the father is a figurehead at best.
