Sacred experiences

There are sacred experiences such as temple ordinances. But there are other sacred experiences whose sacredness is rarely acknowledged. We should not miss these experiences lightly, nor let opportunities pass easily by unclaimed, for they are meant to bring us to God. Here are a few such sacred moments, off my head:

Reading or singing to our little children.

Tossing our children onto a bed to delight them and make them laugh, or letting them jump on a bed and hitting them for fun with pillows. The melee can be as sacred as the caress.

Teaching our children scripture stories.

Building blocks and Legos with our children.

Dancing with our little girls.

We cannot be made perfect without our ancestors, nor can they be made perfect without us. We cannot be made perfect without our children, nor can they be made perfect without us.
